New Ambassadors present Credentials

His Excellency Dr. Lucio Alberto Savoia, Ambassador of Italy was accompanied by his wife Mrs. Maria Anita Stefanelli Savoia and Dr. Andrea Luca Lepore, First Secretary and Deputy Head of Mission at the Embassy of Italy.

His Excellency Mr. Henrik Rée Iversen, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Denmark, was accompanied by Mr. Mikkel Hagen Hess, Deputy Head of Mission, Embassy of the Kingdom of Denmark.

His Excellency Mr. Ringo F. Abed, Ambassador of the Republic of Namibia was accompanied by Mrs. Hedwig Kahepako Tjituka, First Secretary, Embassy of the Republic of Namibia.

The following were also present at the ceremony: Mr. Ivor Callely, T.D.,

Minister of State at the Department of Transport; Mr. Brian McCarthy, Secretary General to the President; Mr. Dan Mulhall, Assistant Secretary, Department of Foreign Affairs; Ms Kathleen White, Chief of Protocol, Mr. Joe Brennan, Deputy Chief of Protocol, Mr. Eoin Duggan, Assistant Chief of Protocol; at the Department of Foreign Affairs.

The Ambassadors were escorted to and from Áras an Uachtaráin by an Escort of Honour consisting of a motorcycle detachment drawn from the 2^nd Cavalry Squadron, Cathal Brugha Barracks, Dublin under the command of Second Lieutenant Kieran Dillon.

The Guard of Honour at Áras an Uachtaráin was provided by the 1ú Cathlán Coisithe, Dún uí Mhaoilíosa, Gaillimh under the command of Second Lieutenant John Quinn.

The Army No. 1 Band was conducted by Commandant Mark Armstrong.
